You have no right to remove me - Gov. Umahi responds to sack order

Governor David Umahi has countered the judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja that declared his seat and that of his Deputy, Kelechi Igwe, vacant.

Governor Umahi said Justice Inyang Ekwo lacks the authority to remove him from office and therefore he will not step down.

This followed after the Federal High Court Judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo ordered the PDP to send names of replacements to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) immediately for fresh elections to be conducted so as to fill the seats declared vacant.
